Positive: It was very clean
Negative: We didn’t see one staff member during our stay.
It was very quiet with no one around, no lights directing you anywhere either if you needed anything, from about 9pm the place is in complete darkness which was that eerie we ended up leaving. Think it would have helped if someone had of maybe came around to welcome you but it wasn’t a great experience.

Excellent
Positive: The property is total relaxation, quiet, no phone signal is a bonus to total unwind, wifi available, host thought of everything, nibbles, complimentary drink, all was ready when we arrived. Location is great.
Negative: At night time it is a little dark, lighting at trail where huts are would be fab

Stunning surroundings and a restful stay.
Positive: The location was breathtaking and the Shepherds Huts were well equipped.
Staff were welcoming and there was a thoughtful gift on arrival including crisps sweets and a bottle of sparkling wine.
We will definitely be back and would highly recommend to others.
Negative: It was all good. No issues.

Overall amazing experience
Positive: Amazing location, really lovely staff, electric fire was put on prior to our arrival as well as the hot tub being preheated. Staff visited the cabin and we were able to put in a drink order and it was delivered to the cabin. The whole experience was really lovely.
Negative: Some spiderwebs inside the cabin and in the hot tub shed.

Not at all as expected or advertised, there where a few good points, but for the cost of around £160 per night it was qu
Positive: Clean and quaint, perfect place for relaxing (or so it was advertised)
Negative: On arrival to Shepards huts , there was nothing by way of a welcome, there was no info concerning the local area (not even a pamphlet), the attractions or the facilities at Shepards huts.
Zero staff present/ seen from Monday too Friday (on our leaving day there were 3 staff members present), it felt like a 3 day camel ride to get a hold of any staff should issues or queries arise.
We were given a phone number too call (stated only on the booking email) if we needed to contact the staff…. Which in turn was not answered.
Storage space was non-existent. Fine for an overnight-2 night stay… but completely inadequate for longer duration stays.
Emails sent inquiring about the facilities went unanswered (probably due too the supposed chronic lack of staff)… and fresh towels/ laundry was left outside the huts (while the weather was poor), for hours, and again, no notification as too what and where it actually was.
At the front of the Shepard hut grounds there is a rather large and grand chalet… which in turn offered nothing too the paying/staying customer. And really only gave the place quite an eerie feel, because it too was seeming devoid of staff or any customers… bars fully furnished but unnervingly empty, massive dining hall fully furnished but spine chillingly empty… at all hours around the clock….. think the film “the shinning”.
Check out is stated as 11am… at 10:30am while my wife was getting out of the hot tub, a young lad barges into the hut area with a wheel barrow with some sort of equipment for the hot tub… the young lad never identified himself as shepards hut staff, nor was he wearing any identification as a shepards hut staff member… very troubling.
The worst part of the stay was that for the first 3 days of the stay the immediate area around the hut itself was a building site, that started at 8am… with workmen and machinery operating within feet of the hut itself.
Good to know
